Synopse
From vegetarian to cannibal: Julia Ducournau’s debut film portrays a teenager’s bloody coming-of-age and extends the feminist perspectiveof the horror genre. 16-year old Justine has been a vegetarian since childhood, just like her parents, who are both vets. But Justine’s life changes drastically when she starts studying at veterinary school, where her elder sister is also a student. On the very first night, she is forced to eat raw offal in an initiation ritual. The next day she has a rash over her whole body – and is ravenous for meat. And the hunger doesn’t stop, but takes on ever more bizarre forms.
